Referential currencyBy ministerial resolution dated May 20, 2024, the Peruvian government has implemented new capacities, new schedules, new circuits and new conditions for visiting Machu Picchu. There are now 10 circuits for visiting Machu Picchu (previously there were 5). These circuits are one-way, starting at the main entrance. All circuits are defined at the time of purchase, according to the ticket, for a given time. For example, the Machu Picchu Ruta Clásica ticket is valid all year round (in low and high season) and allows you to enter Machu Picchu at a given day and time. Once you've passed through the main entrance, you can visit Machu Picchu by taking the 2A Circuit, for a visit of maximum 2 hours and 30 minutes. This circuit, like some others, also takes you to the site known as the House of the Guardian from where you can enjoy the famous view of the entire Citadel.
